The moodboard below represents the star image that I am planning to construct through my promo for 'Stranger' as well as its digipak and magazine advert. The inspiration from this came from both the research I have done on the original artist, Jhene Aiko, as well as other artists that have written songs on lost love and/or unconditional love.

Waist beads promotes African culture and symbolises a woman's strength and her feminity. We felt it was appropriate beacause it reflects her African background.

This image of Leiyla shows a more trendy yet masculine, because her jeans as losely fit. This arguably goes against the gender norms of society. However Leiyla in this image can be seen as sexualised and can be seen as provocative

The crop top is a throwback to the 90s fshion were crop tops were very popular and now in fashion wearing a long maxi skirt alongside the crop top, makes the outfit more femine, and trendy but at the same time elegant. So we wanted our atrist Leiyla to stimulate this vibe to the audience.
